Dr. Shahriari is a neural engineer and leads the BioAugmentative Interfaces Laboratory at ICORD with research at the intersection of materials science, electrical engineering, and medicine. The team develops neuroelectronic devices, sensors, and smart biomaterials to interface with biological tissues and thus provide new capabilities for tissue regeneration and organ augmentation.
