Grand Rounds

Neuroscience Grand Rounds

The Division of Neurology hosts weekly Neuroscience Grand Rounds on Wednesdays, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., in the Auditorium in the Cordula and Gunter Paetzold Health Education Centre at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH).

The schedule is available on the Neurology website.

For those who wish to attend Neuroscience Grand Rounds but cannot get to VGH, the presentations are broadcast to the Rudy North Lecture Theatre in the lower level of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health.

BC Neuropsychiatry Program Grand Rounds

The Department of Psychiatry hosts weekly Neuropsychiatry Grand Rounds on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Room 1C13 in the Detwiller Pavilion at UBC Hospital 

VGH/UBC Psychiatry Educational Rounds

The Department of Psychiatry in association with VGH and UBC ospital and Vancouver Community Mental Health Services presents regular rounds on Tuesdays. Rounds take place from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the Auditorium at the Gordon & Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre (2775 Laurel Street, Vancouver). Department of Psychiatry Regional Grand Rounds

The Department of Psychiatry hosts monthly regional rounds from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the Auditorium at the Gordon & Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre (2775 Laurel Street, Vancouver). Neuroscience of memory journal club

This journal club meets monthly to discuss the neurobiological underpinnings of memory. Each meeting, a different laboratory presents general background and a recent research article of broad interest. Content spans both human and rodent research, with the aim of bringing in many groups across UBC into conversation about memory in the brain.

Ultra-high Field MRI Journal Club

The purpose of this  journal club is to provide education and insight into the possibilities of MRI at very high field strengths. Meetings occur every six to eight weeks in the Conference Room in DMCBH Koerner Labs, on the first floor of UBC Hospital's Koerner Pavilion.

Neuroscience Pizza Seminar Series

The Neuroscience Pizza Seminar Series features UBC neuroscience labs from all disciplines. Seminars typically begin with a short intro from the PI, followed by several brief presentations from lab members. Sessions take place in the Conference Room in DMCBH Koerner Labs, on the first floor of UBC Hospital's Koerner Pavilion.
