
October 11, 2011: A groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of construction on the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. Representatives of the federal and provincial governments join in the celebration.
July 27, 2011: Preparation for construction of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health begins on the building site. The blue fencing, or "hoarding" surrounding the perimeter represents a first step towards the much-anticipated groundbreaking ceremony planned for early October 2011.
April 4, 2011: Djavad Mowafaghian Foundation donates $15 million to Centre for Brain Health
March 3, 2008: Awarded $25.0 million from the Province of British Columbia
March 19, 2007: Awarded $15.0 million through the Centres of Excellence in Commercialization and Research Program from Industry Canada
November 27, 2006: Awarded $17.0 million through the Canada Foundation for Innovation competition and British Columbia Knowledge Development Fund competition
